Our Final Day in London

Amazingly the weather here remains glorious. Last year and the year before it was cold, wet and windy. This year, unbelievable. We had a quiet day today getting organized to go to Paris. We did take a walk in the Italian Gardens in Hyde Park and sat in the sun watching children and adults play.

Last year when we were here, we found a wonderful restaurant, Island, and decided to go there for lunch. It was as good this year as last and does a reasonably priced but elegant meal. Excellent food, excellent wine, excellent service and a view across the Italian Gardens. What more could you want?

Laundry, packing and getting this blog up-to-date consumed the rest of the day. Now we are off to our local for one last beer before heading off to "the continent."
